 The coronavirus, known to us as Covid-19, is an infectious disease.The deadly virus was initially discovered in 2019 in Wuhan, China, where it first emerged, spreading worldwide.In March 2019, it spread worldwide, causing the World Health Organization to declare Covid-19 a global pandemic..The virus can be transmitted by an infected person without showing symptoms of illness. When a person touches an infected surface and then touches mouth, nose or eyes he is infected with coronavirus. Common sign of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and lose of sense of taste or smell low oxygen levels etc. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.As a result, the affected people become isolated from the rest of the society. The victims were even separated from their own family members and loved ones.Covid-19 is a contagious disease. Since it is a viral disease, the virus spreads rapidly in different forms. The government has taken important steps to ensure the safety of the people.Many doctors and nurse had to stay away from their families and their children for the safety of their patients and their loved ones.The government announced a nationwide lockdown and shutdown.To prevent the spread of COVID-19, individuals are advised to use hand sanitizer, maintain social distancing, and wear masks in public spaces. Vaccines have also been developed to protect against COVID-19, which are now distributed worldwide.
